Nellie McKay to Play Highline Ballroom August 29; Diana DeGarmo Engagement Canceled

Broadway veteran Nellie McKay will perform at the Highline Ballroom on August 29 at 8pm.

In 2006, McKay made her Broadway debut in The Threepenny Opera, winning a Theatre World Award for her performance as Polly Peachum. As a recording artist and songwriter, her work includes Get Away From Me, Pretty Little Head, and Obligatory Villagers. She recently played a cabaret engagement at Feinstein’s at The Regency in June.

As previously reported, Broadway veteran and American Idol alum Taylor Hicks will perform at the venue on Sunday, July 25 at 8pm. However, Diana DeGarmo’s gig which had been set for Monday, July 26, has been canceled.

Some of the other upcoming acts at the Highline include Vienna Teng and Alex Wong (August 18), Paula Valstein and Jonah Smith (August 19), Leon Russell (August 21), Ben Sidran’s Dylan Different (August 23), Benevento Russo Duo (August 27), Jon Batiste Band (August 30), and Elew (August 31).
