Cabaret Favorite Nellie McKay Performs "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying" on the Ukulele

McKay’s dreamy version of this Gerry and the Pacemakers classic is a prelude to her upcoming week of shows at 54 Below.

Nellie McKay, a young cabaret favorite and Broadway veteran (she made her debut in 2006's Threepenny Opera), is set to present a week of shows at 54 Below, April 13-18. The show, which celebrates the release of her new album, My Weekly Reader, will also feature her band The Cosmic X-Rays. But if you want to see what McKay can do solo, check out this video of her on the 54 Below stage performing Gerry and the Pacemakers' "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying" with nothing but a ukulele.
