Neil Patrick Harris, Nicole Kidman, Sophia Loren, Julia Roberts, et al. to Present at Golden Globe Awards

An updated list of presenters has been announced for the Golden Globe Awards, which will be presented in a ceremony to be held at the Beverly Hilton International Ballroom on January 17 and to be broadcast on NBC. Ricky Gervais will host the ceremony.

Presenters will include Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry, Gerard Butler, Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, Colin Farrell, Matthew Fox, Mel Gibson,Tom Hanks, Neil Patrick Harris, Nicole Kidman, Sophia Loren, Julia Roberts, Mickey Rourke, and Sam Worthington.

Rob Marshall’s movie version of the musical Nine has received five Golden Globe nominations, including one for Best Musical or Comedy. Also nominated are Daniel Day-Lewis in the Best Actor, Musical or Comedy category, Marion Cotillard as Best Actress in a musical or comedy ,and Penelope Cruz as Best Supporting Actress in a musical or comedy. Maury Yeston’s song “Cinema Italiano” is one of the five tunes nominated for in the Original Song category.

Theater veterans who have received Golden Globe nominations in film and television categories this year include Meryl Streep, Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch, Colin Firth, Morgan Freeman, Marvin Hamlisch, Woody Harrelson, Helen Mirren, Julianne Moore, Carey Mulligan, Christopher Plummer, Julia Roberts, Michael Stuhlbarg, Quentin Tarantino, Stanley Tucci, Joan Allen, Alec Baldwin, Kenneth Branagh, Glenn Close, Toni Collette, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Emerson, Edie Falco, Michael C. Hall, Neil Patrick Harris, William Hurt, Jeremy Irons, Jessica Lange, John Lithgow, Julianna Margulies, Janet McTeer, Anna Paquin, Jeremy Piven, Kyra Sedgwick, and Sigourney Weaver.
