Natalie Douglas, Marc Kudisch, Jane Monheit, et al. Set for Birdland in September

The Broadway at Birdland series has announced its September line-up.

Lindsay Mendez & Marco Paguia will perform in concert on Monday, September 5 at 7pm. Pete Donovan will be on bass and Damien Bassman will be on drums.

MAC Award winner Natalie Douglas will present her new tribute show Nina 2: More Songs of Nina Simone on Monday, September 12 at 7pm. She will be joined by musical director Mark Hartman and a band of Broadway musicians.

Jane Monheit will be joined by Broadway star Marc Kudisch in an evening that swings Cole Porter’s Anything Goes to support The Phyllis Newman Women’s Health Initiative on Monday, September 19 at 7pm. The backup band for the evening will include Mary Ann McSweeney (bassist/arranger), Jim Ridl (pianist), Freddie Hendrix (trumpet), Alvester Garnett (drums), and Special Guest Bucky Pizzarelli (guitar).

Singer/songwriter Patrick DeGennaro will return to Birdland on Monday, September 26 at 7pm. The band will include Alec Berlin (guitar), Yoed Nir (cello), Tony Ormond (bass), Jorgen Kjaer (keyboards), Lonna Marie and Jen Heaney (backup vocals).
