The Bridges of Madison County star Kelli O'Hara will get a taste of Italy when she joins Chef Lidia Bastianich at La Scuola di Eataly on April 14 for a cooking lesson.

O'Hara, who plays the Italian-born Francesca Johnson in the Jason Robert Brown-Marsha Norman musical, will be welcomed to the Manhattan marketplace Eataly to demonstrate and prepare a trio of dishes inspired by the production.

"I really love to cook, but what I really really love to do is eat," O'Hara said. "I am much more comfortable singing for my supper, but a chance to assist Lidia, whom I admire so much, and to learn from her is a chance to more deeply understand my character, Francesca, and to cook alongside a master."

The menu includes Insalata di Finocchi & Gorgonzola (fennel and gorgonzola salad), Conchiglioni Ripieni con Mozzarella (baked stuffed shells with mozzarella), and Costata di Maiale (pork chops with seasonal vegetables).

Guests will be given the opportunity to eat each course of the meal, which will be paired, naturally, with wine. More information can be found here.
