Molly Hager, Jim Newman, Katie Thompson, et al. Set for Cloaked Musical

Jim Newman, Molly Hager, Katie Thompson, Gavin Lodge, Lance Olds, Jonathan Todd Ross, Dawn E. Cantwell, Jackie Washam, Mackenzie Bell, Myko Olivier, and Jeff Washburn will star in the world premiere of Danny Larsen and Michelle Elliott’s new musical Cloaked, to be presented by The Theatre Company at CAP21, June 8-26. Terry Berliner will direct, wit6h music direction by Karl Mansfield.

The show is a modern deconstruction of Little Red Riding Hood set in both reality and the virtual world. It follows Tanner O’Connal, a detective in a Cyber Crime division, as he descends further and further into the deep, dangerous, and extraordinarily alluring landscape of the Internet.

The creative team will include Antje Ellermann (set design), Paul Miller (lighting design), Scott Westervelt (costume design), and Scott Stauffer (sound design).

Larsen and Elliott received both the Richard Rodgers and Daryl Roth Awards for their musical The Yellow Wood, which was presented at the 2007 New York Musical Theatre Festival. They are both alumni of the New York University Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program.
