Mo Rocca to Make Guest Appearance at Dicapo Opera Theatre’s Most Happy Fella

Comedian Mo Rocca will make a special guest appearance during the opening night performance of Dicapo Opera Theatre‘s remount of Frank Loesser’s Most Happy Fella, on Thursday, June 14 at 8pm.

The musical tells the story of a mail-order marriage between a young waitress and an older Italian grape grower in the Napa Valley. On opening night, Rocca will play one of the “chefs” performing the musical’s popular “Abbondanza” song.

Michael Capasso directs the production, which is conducted by music director Pacien Mazzagatti. The cast features Michael Corvino (Tony Esposito), Molly Mustonen (Rosabella), Lauren Hoffmeier (Cleo), Brance Cornelius (Herman), Peter Kendall Clark (Joe), Lisa Chavez (Marie), and Michael Hopewell (Doc).

The production, which runs through July 8, features sets by John Farrell, costumes by Julie Wyma, and lighting by Susan Roth.
