Michele Pawk, a possible Tony Award nominee for her performance in the recently closed Hollywood Arms, has joined the cast of the ABC soap opera All My Children. Beginning January 15, Pawk will portray Marishka, a famous photographer who will work for Fusion, a cosmetics company on the show.

Hollywood Arms, written by Carol Burnett and Carrie Hamilton (based on Burnett’s memoir One More Time) and directed by Harold Prince, ran only two months on Broadway at the Cort Theatre; but Pawk received great critical acclaim for her performance as Louise, a character based on Burnett’s alcoholic mother. In his TheaterMania review of the show, David Finkle wrote that “Michele Pawk, stepping away from musicals for a change, gets her teeth into the role of a purposeless woman.”

Pawk had previously appeared on Broadway in Cabaret and Seussical, and Off-Broadway in Reefer Madness and Hello Again. Her husband, John Dossett, is currently starring in Lincoln Center’s Dinner at Eight; after that, he will be Herbie in the upcoming revival of Gypsy, playing opposite Bernadette Peters.
