Michael Wilson will direct a planned revival of Gore Vidal's The Best Man on Broadway in the spring of 2012. No casting has been announced.

The play, first seen on Broadway in 1960 and revived in 2000, focuses on politicians who are vying for a presidential nomination at a political party's national convention. The producing team for the revival will include Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, Michael B. Rothfeld, and Darren Bagert.

Wilson's Broadway credits include Dividing the Estate, Old Acquaintance, and Enchanted April. Off-Broadway, he has staged such works as What Didn't Happen, The Day Emily Married, Chasing Manet, and The Orphans Home Cycle, as well as Roundabout Theater Company's current revival of Tennessee Williams' The Milk Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore, and the Vineyard Theatre's production of Christopher Shinn's Picked, scheduled to begin performances on April 5.
