Michael Feinstein will discuss the film version of Meredith Willson’s The Music Man with Richard Peña, Program Director of the Film Society of Lincoln Center, when the film is shown on Reel 13, THIRTEEN’s weekly movie showcase for classic, short and independent films. The air date for the presentation is Christmas Eve, December 24 at 9pm.

The musical tells the story of an unlikely romance between a flashy con artist and a staid librarian, and features such classic songs as “76 Trombones” and “Ya Got Trouble.” The movie stars Robert Preston as Harold Hill and Shirley Jones as Marian Paroo.

A five-time Grammy nominee, Feinstein has appeared in concert on Broadway on three self-titled occasions, and also collaborated with Dame Edna in All About Me.
