Metropolitan Opera to Offer Free September 22 Dress Rehearsal of Anna Bolena

The Metropolitan Opera will offer a free open dress rehearsal of Donizetti’s Anna Bolena on Thursday, September 22 at 11am. David McVicar will direct the production, which will be conducted by Marco Armiliato.

The opera is a dramatization of the final three days in the tragic life of Henry VII’s queen Anne Boleyn. The company will feature Anna Netrebko in the title role, along with Ekaterina Gubanova as Giovanna Seymour, Tamara Mumford as Smeton, Stephen Costello as Lord Percy, and Ildar Abdrazakov as Enrico (Henry VIII). Angela Meade will play the title role at certain performances.
