Memorial for Betsy Friday, Performer Turned Producer, to be Held on October 3

On Thursday, October 3 at 2pm, family, friends, and colleagues will gather at the Broadhurst Theatre to celebrate the life of Betsy Friday. A Broadway producer and actress, Friday died on July 16, 2002 due to complications from a bone marrow transplant. She was 44 years old.

As a performer, Friday appeared on Broadway in such shows as The Secret Garden, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Bring Back Birdie, and She Loves Me. She began her producing career in 1983 as an assistant to producer/director Joe Layton.
