It has just been announced that the Broadway production of Stephen Belber’s new play Match will close on Sunday, May 23 at the Plymouth Theatre. The story about an aging dancer/choreographer and the young couple who visit him in search of information about their past will have played 28 previews and 53 regular performances.

Match stars Frank Langella (who received a Tony Award nomination for his role), Ray Liotta, and Jane Adams, and was directed by Nicholas Martin. It features sets by James Noone, costumes by Michael Krass, lighting by Brian MacDevitt, and sound design by Kurt Kellenberger and Jerry Yager.

In his review of the show for TheaterMania, Dan Bacalzo wrote, “Belber has an ear for language and his dialogue and character interactions are consistently believable. While he works with familiar themes and plot devices, he also throws in numerous twists and turns that will keep you guessing about the outcome of Match right up to the final curtain.”
