Marvin Hamlisch: What He Did for Love, Dori Berinstein's new documentary about the prolific Broadway and Hollywood composer, is now available for purchase and home viewing. The documentary initially aired as part of PBS' American Masters series on December 27.

With access to Hamlisch's archives and the complete cooperation from his estate, Berinstein explores Hamlisch's life and career, which included Broadway hits like A Chorus Line, songs including "The Way We Were," and the scores of the films The Sting and Sophie's Choice, among many others. Hamlisch, who died in August 2012, won four Grammys, four Emmys, three Oscars, three Golden Globes, a Tony Award, and a Pulitzer Prize, making him one of only two PEGOT winners in history. Featured in the documentary will be interviews with Hamlisch's family and famous friends, including Barbra Streisand, Christopher Walken, Carly Simon, Quincy Jones, John Lithgow, Woody Allen, Lucie Arnaz, Ann-Margret, Joe Torre, Kelli O'Hara, Brian d'Arcy James, Idina Menzel, Melissa Manchester, and Carole Bayer Sager, among many others.
