Martin Short’s autobiographically-inspired musical Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me, has moved its Broadway dates back by one week. The show is now scheduled to begin previews at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theater on July 29 and to open officially on August 17.

Directed by Scott Wittman, the production will co-star Brooks Ashmanskas, Mary Birdsong, Capathia Jenkins, Nicole Parker, and Marc Shaiman. It features music and lyrics by Shaiman, additional lyrics by Wittman, and a book by Short and playwright Daniel Goldfarb. The creative team includes Christopher Gattelli (choreography), Scott Pask (set design), and Jess Goldstein (costume design).

The show is currently on view at the Canon Theatre in Toronto through July 2, and will play the LaSalle Bank Theater in Chicago, July 5-16.
