Martha Plimpton and Jackie Hoffman will join Jessica Hecht, Chris Sarandon, and Trudie Styler in a one-night-only benefit reading of Addictions, a new three-act play by Tricia Walsh-Smith, to take place at 6:30pm on Monday, April 3 at the Promenade Theatre (2162 Broadway)

The event will benefit the Caron Foundation, an internationally recognized leader in the treatment of substance abuse. Walsh-Smith’s brother, Kevin, took his own life in October 2000 as a result of his longtime additiction to alcohol.

Plimpton will soon be seen on Broadway in Shining City. Hoffman has starred in Hairspray at the Neil Simon Theatre and has performed many of her own shows downtown. Hecht’s Broadway credits include Julius Caesar, After the Fall, and The Last Night of Ballyhoo. Sarandon, who is currently starring in The Light in the Piazza, received an Oscar nomination for his work in Dog Day Afternoon. Styler has appeared in such films as Me Without You and Alpha Male.

Tickets to the Addictions benefit range in price from $350 upwards. For more information, call 212-371-3220 x6152
