Mark Ravenhill and Bette Bourne’s A Life in Three Acts to Play St. Ann’s Warehouse

Playwright Mark Ravenhill and actor and gay rights activist Bette Bourne will bring their show A Life in Three Acts to St. Ann’s Warehouse, March 4-28.

The piece was originally presented at London’s Soho Theatre, where it will return for a run this month prior to its New York engagement. The show, which tells the story of Bourne’s life from his childhood in post-war London to today, is based on conversations between the pair that have been edited for the stage.

Ravenhill’s adaptation of Terry Pratchett’s Nation is currently running at the National Theatre in London. His other plays include Shopping and Fucking, Faust is Dead, Handbag, Some Explicit Polaroids, and Mother Clap’s Molly House.

Bourne is a co-founder of the Obie Award-winning satirical drag troupe BLOOLIPS and may be most recognized for his portrayal of Quentin Crisp in Tim Fountain’s Resident Alien.
