Marcy Harriell, Rogelio Douglas, Jr., Peter Porte, Von Smith to Star in For the Record: Boogie Nights

Casting has been announced for For the Record: Boogie Nights, a salute to the music of the films of Paul Thomas Anderson, running June 7-August 4 at the newly renamed dining space Rockwell: Table & Stage.

The company will be comprised of Marcy Harriell, Ginifer King, Peter Porte, Anderson Davis, Max Ehrich, Rogelio Douglas, Jr., Von Smith, Tom Lowe, Lisa Datz, Jackie Seiden, Steve Mazurek, Dionne Gipson, Justin Mortelliti, Lindsey Gort, Juliette Goglia, and Jason Paige.

Shane Scheel and Anderson Davis direct the evening, which features choreography by Andrew Palermo and musical direction by Christopher Lloyd Bratton. Co-created by Scheel and Bratten, the show will feature clips from Anderson’s films Boogie Nights, There Will Be Blood, Punch Drunk Love, and Magnolia, with the rotating cast performing hits including “Sister Christian,” “Jesse’s Girl,” “Boogie Shoes,” and “Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now.” The concert is the newest in a series that has previously saluted Baz Luhrmann, the Coen Brothers, Quentin Tarantino, and John Hughes.
