Mad Men‘s Michael Gladis to Star in The Main(e) Play

Michael Gladis will star in the world premiere of Chad Beckim’s The Main(e) Play, January 16-February 9 at the Lion Theater. The show, to be directed by Obie Award winner Robert O’Hara, will open officially on January 23.

In The Main(e) Play, two brothers return to Maine for a Thanksgiving that forces them to confront the loss of tradition. The production will also feature Alexander Alioto, Susan Dahl, Curran Connor, and Allyson Morgan. The design team will include Caleb Levengood (sets), Jason Jeunnette (lighting), Whitney Locher (costumes), and Daniel Odham (sound).

Gladis currently stars as Paul on the hit AMC series Mad Men. He has appeared Off-Broadway in Fifth of July, and his other New York credits include ‘nami (also authored by Beckim), Baal, and the FringeNYC production of Dog Sees God.

Beckim’s plays include …a matter of choice and Lights Rise on Grace. O’Hara received a 2006 Obie Award for In The Continuum, and has also directed Lights Rise on Grace, as well as his own plays, Insurrection: Holding History and American Ma(u)l.
