Liz Diamond, Pam McKinnon, Daniel Sullivan to Direct Works in Primary Stages’ 2009-2010 Season

Primary Stages has announced directors for its 25th anniversary season, which will celebrate female playwrights. All performances will take place at 59E59 Theaters.

The season will kick off with the world premiere of A Lifetime Burning by Cusi Cram (July 28-September 5), about trust fund darling Emma who pens a fictional tell-all “memoir.” to be directed by Pam MacKinnon

Next up will be the New York premiere of writer-performer Charlayne Woodard’s The Night Watcher (September 22- October 31), which weaves together stories of the ordinary and extraordinary ways she’s mentored the children in her life, to be directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan.

The season will conclude with the New York premiere of Lucinda Coxon’s dark comedy Happy Now? (January 26-March 6), in which the central character, Kitty, struggles to balance personal freedom with family life, fidelity and a demanding job, to be directed by Liz Diamond.
