The Living Theatre, which was founded in the 1950s by Julian Beck and Judith Malina, will inaugurate their new permanent home at 19-21 Clinton Street with Kenneth H. Brown’s 1963 drama The Brig, April 12-June 3. The production, to be directed by Malina, opens officially on April 26.

The play, which won the Obie Award, is a chilling portrait of military prisons. Brown survived incarceration in a U.S. Marine Corps brig during the Korean War.

The cast features Johnson Anthony, Lewis Williams, Keshav Baggan, Gene Ardor, Antwan Ward, Jade Rothman, Satya Bhabha, Brad Burgess, Morteza Tavakoli, Albert Lamont, John Kohan, Jeff Nash, Bradford Rosenbloom, Brent Bradley, and Joshua Roberts.
