Lisa Kron-Jeanine Tesori Musical Fun Home to Receive Original Cast Recording

Fun Home, the Public Theater‘s new hit musical featuring music by four-time Tony nominee Jeanine Tesori (Violet) and a book and lyrics by Tony nominee Lisa Kron (Well), will record a cast album on Monday, December 2 to be released on February 18, 2014. Fox Theatricals and Barbara Whitman are serving as the recording’s executive producers.
Inspired by the graphic novel-memoir by Alison Bechdel, the work is directed by Sam Gold and stars Beth Malone, Alexandra Socha, Sydney Lucas, Michael Cerveris, Judy Kuhn, Griffin Birney, Roberta Colindrez, Noah Hinsdale, and Joel Perez. After receiving a third extension, the production is now scheduled to run at the Public Theater through December 29.
