Linda Balgord, Felicia Finley, Rob Gallagher, Alison Walla, et al. Set for Engeman Theatre’s The Sound of Music

The John W. Engeman Theater has announced complete casting for its production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music, to run November 18 – January 16. Paul Stancato will direct the production, which will feature choreography by Vic DiMonda and music direction by Mike Pettry.

The musical is based on the memoirs of Maria Von Trapp, which chronicle the formation of The Trapp Family Singers. The show includes such classic songs as “My Favorite Things,” “Do Re Mi,” “So Long, Farewell,” and “Climb Every Mountain.”

The company will feature Alison Walla (Maria), Rob Gallagher (Captain Von Trapp), Linda Balgord (Mother Abbess), Felicia Finley (Elsa Schrader), Roger DeWitt (Max Detweiler), Justine Ré (Liesl Von Trapp), Nick Cosgrove (Rolf Gruber), John Baker (Herr Zeller), Janna Cadia (Sister Berthe), Gordon Gray (Franz), Lesley Hamilton (Sister Margaretta), Lauren Lukacek (Sister Sophia), Joan St. Onge (Frau Schmidt), Kathleen Clancy (Baroness Elberfeld, Ensemble), and Mark Epperson (Elberfeld, Von Schreiber), along with William C. Bailey, Chris Blisset, Patrick Ryan, Rebecca Stavis, and Ashley Flanagan.

The young performers who will be seen as the Von Trapp children, playing alternating performances, include Madison Barrett and Dylan Sage Perles (Marta Von Trapp); Karlie Kohler and Nell Worden (Louisa Von Trapp); Lee Eden and Ali Moreno (Brigitta Von Trapp); Austin Pogrob and Daniel Siegel (Friedrich Von Trapp); Jared Ross and Jake Bennett Siegfried (Kurt Von Trapp); and Natalie Seus and Zoe Kaya Pereles (Gretl Von Trapp).

The creative team will include Jonathan W. Collins (scenic design), Janel Berté (costume design), and Christopher Ash (lighting design).
