The current run of Anthony Giardina's The City of Conversation has been extended through July 6 at Lincoln Center's Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. Tony winner Doug Hughes directs the production, which stars Tony nominee Jan Maxwell. The play began previews on April 10 and opened May 5.

The plot follows her as she faces the personal losses that her choices inflict on her family over the course of 30 years, from the waning days of the Carter administration to the beginning of the Obama presidency.

In addition to Maxwell, the cast includes Kristen Bush, Michael Simpson, Luke Niehaus, Beth Dixon, Kevin O'Rourke, John Aylward, Phillip James Brannon, and Barbara Garrick.

The production features sets by Tony winner John Lee Beatty, costumes by Tony winner Catherine Zuber, lighting by Tyler Micoleau, and original music and sound by Mark Bennett.
