The line-up for the 10th Annual River To River Festival has been announced, with free events being held at various locations along downtown New York City’s waterfront, including the World Financial Center, The Seaport, Battery Park City’s Rockefeller Park, Castle Clinton National Monument, The Elevated Acre at 55 Water Street, and more. The festival runs June 19-July 16.

The festival will kick off with a Bang on a Can Marathon, which will include Philip Glass performing live with the Bang on a Can All-Stars, along with over 150 musicians and composers from throughout the world in a 12-hour super-mix of genre-defying music at the Arts World Financial Center from Noon to Midnight on Sunday, June 19.

On Wednesday June 22 at 7pm, Battery Park City Authority will present Bottom Line – NY On My Mind, starring Rosanne Cash, Marshall Crenshaw, Willie Nile, Martin Rivas, Suzzy Roche and Lucy Wainwright Roche, Loudon Wainwright III, Dar Williams, and more. The event will be hosted by Meg Griffin, and also feature Christine Lavin and Vin Scelsa reading NYC stories.

Rufus Wainwright will join New York City Opera singers, and pianist Kevin Murphy to perform excerpts from his opera Prima Donna, which will premiere at New York City Opera in spring 2012, as well as his favorite arias. The event will be held at the World Financial Center Winter Garden on June 28.

New York Classical Theatre will present Shakespeare’s Henry V at two Castles — Castle Clinton in Battery Park and Castle William in Governors Island with a free ferry service provided by Statue Cruises carrying audiences between the two locations (July 5-15).

The World Financial Center will present Extraordinary Moves, a weeklong celebration of dance through movement, visual art and film including the world premiere of Human Fountain by STREB, the New York premiere of Judy Dennis’s The Dancer Films inspired by the popular “Dancer” cartoons of Jules Feiffer, and an exhibit of the Pulitzer-prize winning cartoonist’s original “Dancer” drawings (July 9-17).

Additional highlights will include Sean Lennon’s new band, The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger (June 24); Laurie Anderson with Bill Laswell (June 30); a tribute to WNYC’s Jonathan Schwartz led by John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey (July 13); and rock legend Patti Smith (July 14).
