Laura Benanti, Donna Murphy, Michael Urie, et al. Set for Drama League Benefit Honoring Patti LuPone

Two-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone will be honored at the Drama League’s A Musical Celebration of Broadway, to be held on Monday, February 7 at the Pierre Hotel. Tony Award winner Cady Huffman and Roger T. Danforth will direct the concert, which will raise funds for the League’s Directors Project.


Artists scheduled to perform at the event currently include Laura Benanti, Liz Callaway, Howard McGillin, Donna Murphy, Anika Noni Rose, and Michael Urie. Additional performers will be announced in the near future.

LuPone is currently starring on Broadway in Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. She has won Tony Awards for her performances in Gypsy and Evita. Among her many other Broadway credits are The Robber Bridegroom, Master Class, Anything Goes, The Old Neighborhood, and Sweeney Todd.
