La MaMa and World In One Pan Arts Collaborative are to present the world premiere of Loom Ensemble’s Erosion: A Fable, February 17-26 at La MaMa’s Club space. Tomi Tsunoda will direct.

Written by the ensemble and choreographed by Neva Cockrell, with original music by Sasha Bogdanowitsch, Erosion: A Fable looks at the familiar world of corporate desk jobs through a unique prism. A homeless woman and a mid-level office exec begin selling dirt on the street together and calling it Love.

The cast will include Zoe Anastassiou, Sasha Bogdanowitsch, Andrew Broaddus, Neva Cockrell, Kate Hamilton, Helen Joyce, Mike O’Bauer, and Raphael Sacks.

The design team will be comprised of Morgen Fleisig (set design), Kayla Goble (lighting design), and Hannah Richey (costume design). Katherine Pardue will be the assistant director.

Loom is an interdisciplinary 10-person ensemble that utilizes full-body movement, vocal harmonies, and text-based storytelling to create ensemble performances.
