Kristin Chenoweth, Mos Def et al. Set for Characters Unite Event at NYPL

Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth, currently appearing on Broadway in Promises, Promises, will host “A More Perfect Union: Stories of Prejudice and Power,” presented in conjunction with USA Network’s Characters Unite Month, at the New York Public Lilbrary on Monday, December 6.

The evening is part of a national series of five Characters Unite Mainstage showcases, in partnership with renowned storytelling organization The Moth.

Among the participants is Mos Def, currently appearing on Broadway in A Free Man of Color, who will join other storytellers, each of whom will share a true, ten-minute story of his or her experience with bigotry or discrimination. Participants will also include Simon Doonan, Wes Moore, Aimee Mullins, and Sirdeaner Walker.

Additional showcases will be presented in New Orleans, Chicago, Denver, and Seattle.
