Casting has been announced for Classical Theater of Harlem’s Off-Broadway premiere of Archbishop Supreme Tartuffe, by Alfred Preisser and Randy Weiner, to play the Clurman Theatre on Theatre Row, June 12-July 19, with an opening set for June 25. Preisser will direct.

Inspired by Moliere’s classic comedy, this original play with music is set within a Harlem Renaissance-era “church”, and explores the outrageously creative criminal mind of the title character through a series of songs, dances, sermons, and feats of divine inspiration.

The cast will be headed by two-time Tony Award nominee Andre De Shields, Ted Lange (best known as Isaac on TV’s The Love Boat), and Kim Brockington, with Jennifer Akabue, Gerron Atkinson, Jabari Brisport, Tyrone Davis, Soneelea Nankani, Gina Marie Rivera, Charletta Rozzell, Lawrence Street, Kisa Willis, and Reji Woods.
