Kansas City Repertory Theatre Announces Cast for The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

Kansas City Repertory Theatre has announced casting for The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, adapted by Laura Eason, which will play January 20-February 12 before moving to New York’s New Victory Theater in March. Jeremy B. Cohen will direct.

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a classic coming-of-age story first published as a novel in 1876. Growing up in a small Missouri town on the banks of the Mississippi River, young Tom’s adventures range from hunting for treasure to avoiding school and tricking others into doing his chores.

The cast will feature Tim McKiernan (Tom Sawyer), Robbie Tann (Huckleberry Finn), Hayley Treider (Becky Thatcher), Joseph Adams (Muff Potter), Justin Fuller (Joe Harper), Michael Nichols (Injun Joe/Minister/School Master), Nate Trinrud (Sid Sawyer/Doc Robinson), and Nance Williamson (Aunt Polly/Widow Douglas).

The design team will include Daniel Ostling (set design), Lorraine Venberg (costume design), Robert Wierzel (lighting design), and Daniel Baker and Aaron Meicht (sound design and original music).
