The Meeting, hosted by Justin Sayre, will honor actor, writer, and director John Cameron Mitchell at Joe's Pub on Sunday, April 20. The show will feature special guests including Tony-nominated performance artist Justin Vivian Bond (A Man's a Man), Angela DiCarlo (Mad World of Miss Hathaway), Scott Matthew (Shortbus), Marty Thomas (Xanadu), Sven Ratzke, Paul Dawson & PJ DeBoy (Shortbus), Shane Shane, and Derek Smith. Tracy Stark will serve as music director.

A combination of outrageous comedy, politics, and cultural commentary, The Meeting features an iconic artist or cultural work held in high esteem by the gay community. The John Cameron Mitchell-themed event comes just in time for the Broadway debut of the cult favorite musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch, starring Neil Patrick Harris at the Belasco Theatre.

Upcoming 2014 shows include a tribute to pop diva Janet Jackson on May 18 and Night of a Thousand Judys on June 16.
