Justin Matthew Sargent to Star in Broadway’s Rock of Ages

Justin Matthew Sargent will take over the lead role of Drew in Broadway’s Rock of Ages, at the Helen Hayes Theatre, beginning March 26. He replaces Dan Domenech, who will play his final performance in the role on Sunday, March 25 at 7:30pm.

This rock musical love story unfolds to the sounds of such feel-good, sing-out-loud songs as “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” “I Wanna Know What Love Is,” “Here I Go Again,” :Don’t Stop Believin'” and more.

Sargent has performed in the musical as a Vacation Swing, and also performed on Broadway in Bonnie & Clyde. His regional credits include Pippin, Jesus Christ Superstar and High School Musical.

In related news, Genson Blimline will officially take over as Lonny; the actor has been portraying the character during original star Mitchell Jarvis’ leave of absence, and Jarvis will not be returning to the role following the end of his leave. In addition, Neka Zang will replace Emily Williams in the ensemble.

The cast also stars Emily Padgett as Sherrie, Jeremy Woodard as Stacee Jaxx, Adam Dannheisse) as Dennis, Cody Scott Lancaste) as Franz, Michele Mais as Justice, Josephine Rose Robert) as Regina, and Paul Schoeffler as Hertz. Rounding out the cast are Tessa Alves, Tony LePage, Michael Minarik, Jennifer Rias, Andre Ward and Katie Webber.
