Justin Bartha, who played Doug in the hit film The Hangover, will play Max in the upcoming Broadway revival of Ken Ludwig’s Lend Me a Tenor, which will begin performances at the Music Box Theatre on March 11, in anticipation of an April 4 opening. Stanley Tucci will direct the production.

Set in the 1930s, this madcap screwball comedy is set in motion when Tito Merelli, a fiery-tempered and world famous Italian superstar, arrives in Cleveland, Ohio to make his debut with the local opera and promptly goes missing, with chaos ensuing.

The company will also feature Anthony LaPaglia, Tony Shalhoub, Jan Maxwell, Mary Catherine Garrison, Jennifer Laura Thompson, Jay Klaitz, and Brooke Adams. The creative team will include John Lee Beatty (scenic design), Kenneth Posner (lighting design), Martin Pakledinaz, (costume design), Peter Hylenski (sound design), and David Loud (musical supervisor).

Bartha is making his Broadway debut. His other film credits include Failure to Launch, National Treasure, and the upcoming The Rebound and Holy Rollers.
