Julia Motyka, Rob Sedgwick Set for Mario Fratti’s Obama 44

Mario Fratti’s Obama 44 will have its world premiere at La Mama, March 29-April 15. Wayne Maugans will direct the production.

The show is described as psychological thriller about the murder of a charming and beautiful young woman who worked for President Obama’s re-election campaign.

The cast will feature Rob Sedgwick, Julia Motyka, Dennis Ostermaier, Thomas Poarch, and Richard Ugino.

The production will feature scenic design by Tatsuki Nakamura, lighting design by Paul Bartlett, costume design by Peri Grabin, and sound design by Ien Denio.

Fratti provided the translation for the Broadway musical Nine, and his many plays include Cage, White Widow, and The Bridge
