Jose Llana to Star in NYMF Musical Prison Dancer

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) and Prison Dancer Live, LLC will present Romeo Candido and Carmen De Jesus’ Prison Dancer, July 20-28 at Theatre at St. Clement’s. Jenn Rapp will direct, with musical supervision by Alexander Rovang.
In Prison Dancer, the lives of eight Filipino maximum-security prisoners are changed forever when a video of their dance-based rehabilitation program becomes a viral Internet sensation on YouTube.
The production will star Jose Llana (Christian Bagets), Jeigh Madjus (Lola), Marc Delacruz (Hookaps), Catherine Ricafort (Cherish), Cosmo Clemens (Oo Oo), Enrico Rodriguez (Nana), Andrew Eisenman (Warden), and Nathan Ramos (Prison Guard).
The design team will feature Josh Zangen (set design), Sky Switser (costume design), Betsy Adams (lighting design), Jon Weston (sound design), and Rick Sorderlet (fight direction).
