The cast has been announced for the ninth annual Broadway Backwards, a one-night-only performance produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS to benefit BC/EFA and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of New York. This year's event will take place March 24 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, home of Kinky Boots.

The roster of Broadway stars joining the event includes Bryan Batt (La Cage aux Folles, TV's Mad Men), Stephanie J. Block (The Mystery of Edwin Drood), Tony winner Len Cariou (Sweeney Todd, TV's Blue Bloods), Robin De Jesús (La Cage aux Folles), Jonathan Groff (Spring Awakening, TV's Looking), Judy Kuhn (Fun Home), Jessie Mueller (Beautiful — The Carole King Musical), Krysta Rodriguez (First Date, TV's Smash), Cass Morgan (The Bridges of Madison County), Tony Yazbeck (Encores!'s Little Me), and Patricia Morison (The King and I). Additional performers will be announced in the coming weeks. The roster of performers is subject to change.

At Broadway Backwards, gays and lesbians hear their stories told through great songs of musical theater sung by favorite Broadway performers. Broadway Backwards began as a grassroots concert created by Robert Bartley in 2006.

Bartley will direct and choreograph, with additional choreography by Amy Jones and Melissa Rae Mahon. Mary-Mitchell Campbell will serve as music supervisor, with Tim Rosser as music director.
