Jonathan Berry to Direct Roundabout Underground’s Suicide, Incorporated

Jonathan Berry has been named as director of the Roundabout Underground production of Andrew Hinderaker’s Suicide, Incorporated, to be presented in the Black Box Theatre below the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre, October 14-December 23, with an opening on November 2. He replaces Jason Moore, who will be directing the film Pitch Perfect.

The cast and creative team will be announced shortly.

The play takes us to an unorthodox writing service that specializes in crafting the perfect suicide note, where a subversive new employee is suspected of the unthinkable.

Berry directed the play’s world premiere at the Gift Theatre in Chicago as well as in a staged reading for Steppenwolf’s First Look Festival of New Work. His production of David Eldridge’s Festen is currently running at Chicago’s Steep Theatre.
