Johnny Depp, Zac Efron Win MTV Movie Awards

Johnny Depp was named Best Villain for playing the title role in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and Zac Efron was named Best Breakthrough Performance for his role as Link Larkin in Hairspray at the MTV Movie Awards, which were presented in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 1.
Depp also took home the Best Comedic Performance Award for his role as Jack Sparrow in the third installment of The Pirates of the Caribbean series. Other acting winners included Ellen Page (Juno) and Will Smith (I Am Legend).
Other films that received honors at the annual event were Transformers, Iron Man, Never Back Down, and Step Up 2 the Streets.
