John O’Hurley to Join Chicago Cast in January

John O’Hurley is the latest television star to be signed to jump into the long-running Broadway revival of the John Kander-Fred Ebb-Bob Fosse musical Chicago. He will play the role of Billy Flynn from January 16 through March 26, 2006, the same period during which former Head of the Class star Robin Givens will be making her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart.

O’Hurley has recently garnered much attention for his participation in the ABC reality show Dancing with the Stars. He is best known for his role as J. Peterman on the hit sitcom Seinfeld and has appeared on numerous soap operas, including Santa Barbara, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless. Among his theatrical credits are productions of The Pirates of Penzance and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.

Chicago is produced by Barry and Fran Weissler. The current cast is headed by Brooke Shields, Luba Mason, Clarke Peters, and Debra Monk.
