John Bolton, Liz Callaway, Tom Wopat Featured on A Christmas Story: The Musical World Premiere Cast Recording

The world premiere cast recording of A Christmas Story: The Musical will be available from Masterworks Broadway digitally on September 25, and on CD on October 22.
Featuring music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and a book by Joseph Robinette, the musical is based on the movie and the writings of radio humorist Jean Shepherd. It tells the story of young Ralphie Parker, who wants only one thing for Christmas – a Red Ryder BB Gun.
The recording will feature Clarke Hallum as Ralphie, John Bolton as The Old Man, Liz Callaway as Mother and Tom Wopat as Jean Shepherd plus cast members from the 5th Avenue Theatre production and the 2011 National Tour.
As previously reported, A Christmas Story will be coming to Broadway this season, headlined by Dan Lauria as Shepherd. Additional casting for the production –which will play the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, November 5-December 30 – has not yet been announced.
