John Barrowman to Release New Solo CD February 22

John Barrowman will release his third solo CD, entitled simply John Barrowman, on February 22. The disc will be released by Arista.

The 12-track disc features Barrowman performing such songs as Peter Allen’s “Don’t Cry Out Loud” and “When I Get My Name in Lights” (used in The Boy From Oz), Jerry Herman’s “I Won’t Send Roses” (from Mack and Mabel), Maury Yeston’s “Unusual Way” (from Nine), and “My Eyes Adored You” and “Oh What a Night” (used in Jersey Boys). Additionally, he shares a duet on the disc with Jody Prenger, singing “So Close” from Enchanted.

Barrowman recently concluded a run in the West End revival of La Cage Aux Folles and is currently performing in Robin Hood: The Pantomime Adventure, which runs through January 24) at London’s New Theatre. Among his other stage credits are Company, Anything Goes, and A Few Good Men. He is well known in the UK for his TV appearances in Torchwood, Doctor Who, How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?, Any Dream Will Do, and I’d Do Anything. His previous solo recordings are Another Side and Music Music Music.
