Joey Arias, Jackie Hoffman, Daivd Ilku, et. al. Set for P.S. 122’s Avant-Garde-Arama!

Joey Arias and Jackie Hoffman are among the artists who will take part in Avant-Garde-Arama!, to be held at P.S. 122, September 18-19. This multi-disciplinary event will be hosted by performance artists Gina Vetro and David Ilku.
For these two nights, theater, dance, music, and live art will be offered throughout the facility. On both evenings, Hawaii, a tongue-in-cheek homage to honeymoons by Karen Therese and Lizzie Thomson, and Andrew Schneider’s re:placement will be performed.
On Friday, September 18, artists performing will include Arias, M. Lamar, Maria Hassabi, Carmelita Tropicana, Maureen Angelos, Carol Lipnik, and Spookarama. On Saturday, September 19, Hoffman, Beadz on Nude Illusion, enemyResearch, Adrienne Truscott, and Reggie Watts are among the artists expected to perform.
Live music will be offered by the band GoonSquad, and DJ Scott Ewalt and DJ Joro-Boro will provide music for dance parties on Friday and Saturday nights, respectively.
