Tony Award winner Joanna Gleason will be featured in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s Off-Broadway production of Stephen Karam’s new play Sons of the Prophet, to play the Laura Pels Theatre, September 30-December 23, with an opening on October 20. Peter DuBois will direct. The full cast and creative team will be announced shortly.

The play is about a Lebanese family in PA, who deal with crazy bosses, medical mysteries, and the end of the family line, while never losing their unbreakable sense of humor. The work was commissioned by Roundabout, and will be produced in association with Huntington Theatre Company, where it recently had its world premiere.

Gleason will once again be playing the role of Gloria, which she originated in that production. The actress won Tony and Drama Desk Awards for Into the Woods, and was Tony-nominated for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Joe Egg.
