Television favorite Joan Van Ark, Tony Award winner Carlin Glynn, Annalee Jefferies, and Jayne Taini will star in the Hartford Stage production of Tennessee Williams’ A Lovely Sunday for Creve Coeur, April 6-May 7. The production, to be directed by Michael Wilson, will open officially on April 14.

One of Williams’ lesser-known plays, A Lovely Sunday for Creve Coeur is a comedy about four women in a St. Louis boarding house near the title lake during the Depression. The show had a brief Off-Broadway run in 1979.

Van Ark is best known for her role as Valene Ewing on the CBS series Knots Landing. She starred on Broadway in Barefoot in the Park and The School for Wives and was seen last year in the La Jolla Playhouse production of Private Fittings.

Glynn won the Tony Award for The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Jefferies recently starred in the Hartford Stage production of The Learned Ladies of Park Avenue. Taini has guest starred on numerous TV shows including E.R., Without a Trace, and Boston Legal.
