Joan Rivers Gets New TV Gigs

Tony Award nominee Joan Rivers has added two more television gigs to her growing schedule, according to published reports.

Her show Fashion Police, which has appeared as a series of periodic specials, will now be seen weekly on E, and her new talk show, That Show With Joan Rivers will be broadcast by MyFamily TV. She is also scheduled to appear with her daughter, Melissa Rivers, on the WE reality show Mother Knows Best, and is the host of TV Land’s How’d You Get So Rich.

She received a Tony Award nomination for Sally Marr… and Her Escorts and starred on stage and co-authored the play Joan Rivers: A Work in Progress by a Life in a Progress. A documentary film about her life Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work is currently in theaters.

Rivers is scheduled for numerous appearances in the coming months at New York’s Laurie Beechman Theatre and will play Las Vegas’ Venetian Hotel in September and October. She will also continue to tour the country with her act.

In addition to her work on television and stage, Rivers has authored such books as Enter Talking, Men Are Stupid… And They Like Big Boobs… A Woman’s Guide to Beauty Through Plastic Surgery and Murder at the Academy Awards.
