Jimmy Maize to Direct Special Staging of Spoon River Anthology

An all-new production of Edgar Lee Masters’ The Spoon River Anthology, conceived and directed by Jimmy Maize, will play at The Riverside Theatre, April 18-21, followed by an engagement at the Invisible Dog Art Center, April 24-28.

A cast of one-hundred will bring to life the collection of epitaphs that vividly depict life in the fictional Midwestern town of Spoon River, as told from the perspective of its deceased residents. The production will feature music by Eli Zoller, choreography by Jon Cooper & Marine Sialelli, and music direction by Ethan Wagner.

The creative team will include Eli Zoller (music), Jon Cooper & Marine Sialelli (choreography), Ethan Wagner (music direction), Mikaela Liakata (scenic consultant), Abigail Hahn (costumes), and David Bengali (lights).

There will be a special Talkback panel with Moisés Kaufman of the Tectonic Theater Project and the artists following the performance on Friday, April 20 at The Riverside Theatre.
