Jill Paice, who starred on Broadway in Curtains and The Woman in White, will now play Anne Egerman in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s gala benefit concert reading of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler’s A Little Night Music, to be presented at 7:30pm on Monday, January 12 at Studio 54.

She replaces previously announced star Laura Benanti, who has withdrawn under doctor’s orders in light of a throat infection. Benanti is expected to continue to perform as Louise/Gypsy in the revival of Gypsy, which closes on January 11.

Scott Ellis will direct the reading, which will feature Paul Gemignani leading a 27-piece orchestra, and orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick. The show will star Christine Baranski (Countess Charlotte Malcolm), Victor Garber (Frederik Egerman), Marc Kudisch (Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm), Stephen Pasquale (Henrik Egerman), Natasha Richardson (Desiree Armfeldt), Vanessa Redgrave (Madame Armfeldt), Kendra Kassebaum (Petra), Alexandra Socha (Fredrika), Maija Lisa Currie (Mrs. Nordstrom), Steven Goldstein (Mr. Erlandson), Leena Chopra (Mrs. Segrestom), Julianne Borg (Mrs. Anderssen), and Philip Cokorinos (Mr. Lindquist).

The creative team will include Derek McLane (sets), Kenneth Posner (lighting), and Steve Kennedy (sound).

Remaining tickets range from $250-$2500. For more information, call 212-719-1300 or visit www.roundabouttheatre.org.
