Our Time Theatre Company, a group that provides people who stutter with the opportunity to create and perform theater, will present its first annual benefit on Wednesday, June 11 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre.

Rent alum and Law and Order star Jesse L. Martin will host the event, which will honor Austin Pendleton, best known for his roles in the film What’s Up, Doc? and the original Broadway production of Fiddler on the Roof. Our Time’s Teen Company will perform, along with Everett Bradley (who serves as musical director for Our Time) and the cast of Off-Broadway’s Stomp. There will also be a raffle of tickets for A Year with Frog and Toad, The Phantom of the Opera, Zanna, Don’t!, Naked Boys Singing, The Last Sunday in June, and Rhapsody in Seth.

Founded by Taro Alexander, Our Time includes both a teen and adult company. All company members study acting, writing, music, and dance with professional artists and perform in New York theaters, at speech-language-hearing conferences, and at special events. Our Time plans to add a pre-teen company for children ages 7-12 this fall.

Tickets for the benefit are available at $150 for the cocktail party at 6:30pm and the show at 8pm, $100 for preferred seats to the show, and $50 for the show only. For more information, call 212-674-9632 or e-mail moreinfo@ourtimetheatre.org.
