Jennifer Lopez and Lin-Manuel Miranda Composing Song for Orlando Shooting Victims
No release date has so far been set for "Love Make the World Go Round."
Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and singer/actress Jennifer Lopez are collaborating on a new single to benefit the victims of the recent shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, the two artists announced yesterday via Twitter.
Miranda tweeted that he and Lopez were collaborating on a song that, when released, would benefit the Hispanic Federation's Proyecto Somos Orlando, with a link to a short video documenting the single's creation.
Proyecto Somos Orlando addresses "the long-term needs for mental health services that are culturally competent and bilingual. Proyecto will enable care to be delivered to those affected directly in the communities in which they live. Beyond emergency assistance, they will be provided with case management, crisis intervention, and mental health services, among other needs."
No release date for the finished song has so far been announced.
