Jennifer Ikeda to Join David Greenspan, Postell Pringle, et al. in Ma-Yi’s Rescue Me

Jennifer Ikeda will join the previously announced Julian Barnett, Oni Monifa Renee Brown, David Greenspan, Leon Ingulsrud, Katherine Partington, Postell Pringle, and Paco Tolson in the world premiere of Michi Barall’s Rescue Me, to be presented by Ma-Yi Theater Company at the Ohio Theatre, March 23-April 18, with an opening on March 30. Loy Arcenas will direct.

In this dance-theater adaptation of Euripides’ Iphigenia in Tauris, Iph is 34 and stuck in a dead-end job. Haunted by her past, she is at the mercy of a temperamental goddess and a barbarian king with a fondness for human sacrifice.
